How It All Began

Filhodiernal was founded by Ana Duarte, a lifelong traveler who grew up in Lisbon and spent much of her adult life navigating airports, train stations, and border crossings. After years of helping friends and family plan their first trips, Ana realized there was a need for a website that provided simple, practical travel guidance—especially for adults who aren’t frequent flyers or digital nomads.

Our Purpose

Filhodiernal was created as a quiet corner of the internet where people could learn how to travel without pressure, confusion, or unnecessary complexity. We believe that travel shouldn’t require expert-level knowledge to be enjoyable.
